- Diospyros virginiana 'Barbara's Blush' (Hardiness Zone 8–10) is a highly prized variety of American persimmon, bred by Jerry Lehman. It is characterized by medium-sized to large fruits with a honey-like flavor and a unique reddish tinge to the flesh. It is a highly productive, self-pollinating, and very cold-hardy tree (down to -35 °C).
