- PISTACIA VERA 'JOLEY' - Pistachio 'Joley' - a female, lesser-known variety whose fruit consists of drupes enclosed in a fleshy pericarp that turns red and purple as it ripens.
- Once the pericarp ripens, it splits open to reveal a hard shell concealing the edible kernel.
- Harvesting takes place from early September through October, depending on climatic conditions.
- The variety is highly resistant to fungal diseases.
- It requires a sunny, warm, and drier location; it does not tolerate wet or acidic soils.
- UCB1 rootstock—this is a newly used rootstock for pistachio cultivation.
- This rootstock increases productivity and the seedlings’ disease resistance; it is tolerant of saline soils and cold climates.
- Plants from our own production, up to 50-80 cm tall
