  • Pistacia vera male variety.
  • Good vitality and a short period of puberty.
  • Reliable pollinator of the female Pistacia vera variety of the Kerman type, well covering both flowering periods.
  • A male pistachio produces enough pollen for 8 to 12 female pistachios to bear fruit.
  • Prefers loamy-sandy soils, deep and well-drained. It is a good alternative to the use of poor soils thanks to its rusticity and resistance.
  • Requires little water.   Dig a hole at least two or three times as wide and deep as the root ball.
  • Remove the plant from its container and loosen the roots so they can spread in all directions.
  • Cut off any broken roots.
  • Mix the soil with the substrate and fill part of the hole with the obtained mixture. Place the plant in the hole and cover with the remaining mixture.
  • Tamp the soil around the plant and water thoroughly.
