- Reliable frost-resistant variety from Turkmenistan. Highly appreciated for its delicious refreshing sweet-sour taste, small soft edible fruits and intense dark red color of the fruit and juice. Growth: Strong, upright, naturally branched deciduous shrub. Grows to a height of 2.5-3 m. Reaches a high age, even several years. In wine-growing areas, we recommend planting the pomegranate tree in... open ground. It can also be grown as a container plant in large pots. Location requirements The pomegranate tree is best planted in a sheltered sunny spot in the garden.
- Sheltered garden or terrace. The pomegranate is undemanding to soil, but grows better and bears fruit better on deep, loamy soils rich in organic matter with light, permeable subsoil.
- Flowers: Decorative orange flowers bloom gradually from June to July. The variety is self-pollinating.
Fruits: large, 240-430 g, bright red skin. Small, soft, juicy seeds do not disturb when consumed.
Juice: wine-red, delicious taste, refreshingly sweet. - Ripening time: depending on the location and climatic conditions, the fruits ripen gradually during October.
- Disease resistance: reliably resists attacks by pests and fungi, no chemical protection is required during the vegetation period.
- Frost resistance: withstands frosts down to -15 °C without damage, with increasing age
pomegranate trees become more resistant with age. It is recommended to provide young plants with
winter protection, e.g. with an 8-10 cm layer of mulch
