- It is a massive, very decorative tree in landscape design, it belongs to the rowan. Rowan - Oskoruše is a symbol of saving traditional species and varieties of fruit trees in Slovakia.
- It provides not only comfort and shade, but also valuable fruits and quality wood.
- The fruits are medium to large in size, apple-shaped, ripen from early September to late October.
- They are most often used to produce a highly valued and healthy brandy, but also to treat digestive problems.
- In Slovakia and Slovakia, the name Oskoruša is used.
