Peach tree 'Jayhaven' - self-pollinated large-fruited yellow-fleshed peach variety with excellent taste and quality characteristics of the fruit, very high fertility and resistance to diseases and frost.
Suitable for gardeners and large-scale plantings.
The fruits are large, up to 250 - 300g and can be stored for a long time.
Ripens from the end of July to the beginning of August.
The pulp is yellow, reddish around the stone, easily separated from the stone in ripe fruits, aromatic.
The variety is also highly resistant to curling.
Cultivation: For peach trees, choose a sunny, sufficiently open location, preferably at an altitude of up to 250 m above sea level, oriented to the south and protected from northern winds.
The soil should be drier, humus-rich, calcareous and nutritious, with a pH of 6.5-8, medium-heavy to sandy-loamy.
Peach trees can also be grown at higher altitudes (above 450 m above sea level), but the right choice of location is really necessary. Quarter-trunks and saplings are most often planted in a 5x3-4m trench.
